HAI! The Slackers are going on their 20th anniversary Japan tour, starting this week! They even made a nifty fun video for it! That’s right! Rude City Riot has an iPhone app! It’s nothing super crazy but it is pretty nifty. It’s basically everything you can find on their website in one little app.

There’s a list of songs you can play straight from the app, the entire “Nothin’ But Time” album… which also plays in the background when you switch to other apps. If you’re listening to the song and love it there is a buy link to the song in the iTunes store. For those who love seeing the lyrics, you get those too!

You can also check out the bands photos and [YouTube] videos. Of course you can also read the band bio, blogs, twitter, facebook, and join the mailing list.

Probably my favorite part of this app, is the shows section, which lists upcoming and past shows as well as a map [sadly, all the shows are currently in Canada].

If so, the crazy kids at Kia have granted your wish! During the Warped Tour this year they did a few “Cribs” videos on the Kia YouTube channel called “Warped Rides”. Less Than Jake happened to be one of the bands awesome enough to show off their rolling mansion. It’s kinda cool, if you’re into seeing where 8 guys spend their time on the road.

Dave McWane, of Big D & The Kids Table, and Craig Shannon are in the process of putting together a short film called “Doped Up Dollies On A One Way Ticket To Blood.” I think this project has been going around for a little while now but I just heard about it recently and wanted to get this out to you as soon as I could.

Currently, the pair have a kickstarter project set up for fans of the project to help donate funds for them to make this happen. Kickstarter is a pretty awesome site that I have used before in the past with other random projects and this is another great way for Big D fans to help the artists create their arts for us to enjoy.

I had the wonderful pleasure of seeing and meeting Rude King last year when I went to Ska In The Park and now this great Texas band has a new album!

“Ruder, Better, Faster, Stronger” is the exciting follow up album to their debut EP “Rude To The Last Drop”. All of the songs from the EP have been cleaned up and are on RBFS, with an additional 5 songs. I very much enjoyed “Rude To The Last Drop” and am enjoying RBFS just as much.
